“Stupid people birth stupid people. That's how it always will be in this world, no matter how much someone tries to defy fate.”
Lukas Orlov is the protagonist of Ace of Spades. He is the leader of the Dzhokers rebellion called ‘ACE’. He is the eldest son of an immigrant family whose goal is to stop the corrupted system of the country by using his ability given by Barok, called ‘Fortuna’—that lets him predict a certain moment in the future and prevent chaos.

Born from a loving family of immigrants from the Czech Republic in the slums, Lukas was the eldest of eleven siblings. Growing up, he was greatly influenced by his father who was a former bomb technician and his mother, who was a former flight attendant, that he was led to study aeronautical engineering to pursue his dream to become a pilot.
At the age of 20, Lukas began to take a fortune telling job to support his parents and siblings’ education until they were killed in Hartlovka’s immigrant massacre. The trauma knocked him unconscious until he was taken in by Barok, a secretary of Hartlovka, who coerced him to use Fortuna wisely.
Lukas began using Fortuna and trained himself to use the skill to his advantage and attempt to stop Hartlovka's tyranny as a criminal called ‘ACE’, while constantly surviving from fatal accidents, albeit barely. During his mission and numerous incidents, he met Kieran, Stella, and Marina, and established the Dzhokers, a criminal syndicate against Hartlovka's reign.
Lukas is an intelligent young man with a complex sense of justice, but he can come off as extremely harsh as he struggles with empathy. He also has a habit of calling his peers by their surnames, dislikes stupidity and tends to generalize, using stereotypes such as zodiacs and tarot cards which leads him to constantly make assumptions of people, accurate or not. Lukas can be controlling and greedy with money, resulting in his gambling habits and tendency to hurt people emotionally, and gets unaware of his own harmful actions. As much as he feels ashamed for showing weakness such as apologizing, he goes as far as to make up for his faults through reckless and self-sacrificial actions, and expecting no forgiveness in return.
As a pessimist, Lukas believes that no one is truly innocent since he determines them by their easily changing views, though he is capable of protecting those who truly need protection, and he would suffer from a panic attack when he fails to save someone's life. This can also make him very considerate and caring of other people's well-being. Lukas himself believes that he is no different than a political murderer, but he continues to act so as he prioritizes what he does rather than what he was seen as, deeming reputation as irrelevant to his goals. He is willing to put himself in danger just to ensure his suspicions and theories are accurate.
Although he once thought that he can achieve his goals better by working alone, Lukas began to deeply cherish his peers, the Dzhokers, and acknowledges them as individuals rather than friends, thinking friends are not enough to deem them as people that are special to him. He never once doubted them and depends on their skills and judgment to make the right decision on their goals. He values their lives, as he does for people who suffer under Hartlovka's tyranny. In desperate times, he would be overprotective and possessive of his friends, as an effect to his trauma when his parents and siblings were murdered.
Lukas is a pale and slim young man with unkept silver hair and scarlet eyes. Similar to Marina’s, his black left eye with a star-shaped pupil is the result of having gained Fortuna. He has graze scars around his shoulders, chest, and arms, which he keeps hidden by dressing up outlandishly. He also wears light piercings.
As ACE, Lukas wears a dark cloak over a turtle-neck top and baggy pants, with combat boots, gloves, scarf, and ushanka with goggles attached. He can be seen wearing a black spade-shaped necklace that Stella made as identification accessories for the Dzhokers.
In casual, he wears simple clothes with various types of jackets and sweaters, as he prefers to be covered from low temperatures, disliking the cold.
