Nine is an antagonist turned supporting character in Ageha in Wonderland. He is a member of the Ventrilotwins and the younger twin brother of Six. He was an artificial human model created solely to fit the standards of an unnamed fashion industry until he eventually escaped with his twin. He is an easygoing and cocky rockstar who enjoys thrill and chaos.

History

Six and Nine were initially one unnamed boy who was born with doll-like beauty. He worked as a model despite his very young age and was envied by many. However, he was manipulated and abused behind the scenes so he committed suicide by jumping off a building. He was then ‘resurrected’ into artificial human clones for the fashion industry to continue their job and make money, thus giving birth to Six and Nine who were the successful experiments. The clones developed a bond and discovered the boy’s past. To avenge him, they exposed the fashion industry’s dark secrets, causing their downfall. They started working as puppeteers. Like the Party Clowns, they opened an entertainment group called the “VentriloTwins”.

Personality

Nine is rowdy, loud, and immature. He likes to play around and joke with people, giving no concern when he ‘accidentally’ hurts someone’s feelings or makes a mistake, and refusing to apologize due to his ego. He is considered to be extremely annoying that he succeeds Loki. Despite being somewhat rude, Nine can be sweet and thoughtful at times. He enjoys noise, danger, and thrill, and gets motivated by fights, being as highly as competitive as his brother. In fact, he’s more competitive.

Nine is aware of his actions, which proves that he’s not completely rude and rather, he’s just confused. He often laments his true identity if he was born as one and struggles with finding a personality since his true self was often rejected by many, including his own kin. Upon the truce with the Clowns, the first person who found Nine’s true nature to be cute was Lottie, resulting in his growing romantic feelings toward her. These feelings influenced him to accept himself as a thrill-loving and chaotic rockstar.

Appearance

Physical

Nine has short brown hair and red eyes. He has a beauty mark on his upper right cheek. His hair is neater compared to Nine. His hair is more messier compared to Six. Much like Lottie, he is considered to have the beauty of a doll.

Outfit

In his puppeteer fit, Nine wears a laced shirt with fluffy pants, gloves, and stockings, colored with red, white, and black aesthetics, meant to oppose the colors of Loki’s magician fit. Their fit includes a small black hat wrapped with a shiny red ribbon.

In his rockstar fit, Nine wears a gray shirt, black spiked gloves and boots, striped pants, and a red vest with skull designs. He wears a messy black wig and wears his makeup with spikes under his eyes, and a red eyepatch.

In casual times, Nine wears rock-star and punk clothing in contrast with Six’s elegant styles.

Skills & Abilities

String Manipulation

As a ventriloquist, Nine excels in manipulating strings. He can pull a strand of cloth without much effort and can even control puppets without having to focus on their movements. He is often compared to Six as he is more skilled in puppeteering than the latter. Nine uses this skill to his advantage as a guitarist.

Insane Physical Prowess

Nine may appear thin and slim, but he possesses a ridiculously inhuman strength that makes him a feared martial artist in Wonderland. Ironically, he can casually carry things less than a box truck.

Relationships

Ageha

When Ageha first discovered the VentriloTwins from a TV commercial, she was fascinated by their performances—until she discovered that they were the Clowns’ rivals and how badly they treated the Clowns in the past. Upon their first encounter, she was hostile and very defensive against them, in which the twins would insult her as ‘the Clowns’ dog’. After the twins apologized to the Clowns for their behavior, Ageha slowly forgave them when the relationship between the two groups softened. Since then, her relationship with the twins became casual.

Loki

As rivals, Loki and the VentriloTwins enjoy provoking each other. Although Loki takes their rivalry in a friendly manner, the twins truly intend to take them down. Or at least, only Six do. Nine has secretly taken a liking to the Clowns for their colorful and spontaneous behavior, while Six believes them to be messy and dirty. Loki couldn’t care less about what Six does to make them appear stupid and childish in public…since they already are. When the Party Clowns lost to the VentriloTwins, Loki didn't hold a grudge and congratulated them instead, which led the twins to reflect on their behavior. Since then, both sides developed a friendly and casual rivalry, this time, without the twins trying to take the Clowns down.

Lottie

Nine used to hate Lottie for beating him in a karate sparring as classmates during their rivalry. He was jealous that Six had taken a liking to her. At this time, Nine wasn’t yet accepting of himself due to the fear of being rejected by others. However, when Lottie took a glimpse of his true self, she instantly accepted him. Since then, Nine gradually develops strong romantic feelings for her. Upon the truce, Nine used the opportunity to flirt with Lottie, much to her embarrassment, and he’d even invite her to his concerts for free. Meanwhile, Lottie is still confused with her own feelings but she’d find herself blushing or nervous around him. Despite their obvious romantic chemistry, the two remain friends.

Kiel

Kiel would rage whenever the twins were mentioned, never accepted all the past horrible treatment and humiliation they received from the them. The twins were afraid of Kiel because they once witnessed his rampage that they caused, when they had put a bad name on the Party Clowns. This was before Ageha came to Wonderland. Upon their truce, Kiel disapproved of it at first and wanted to punish them by forcing them to do all the chores in the Party Place, until he was cooled down by his friends. His hatred for them and the twins’ fear of him remained, though they tried to keep it cool to avoid it affecting their new friendship. Kiel and the twins eventually approve of each other and grew on good terms.

Six

As twins, the two believed that sharing one face would mean sharing one personality, and this affected their whole relationship. Six, being the older twin, would treat his younger brother like a doll. He'd decide on his behalf and choose his interests and neglect his desire for rock and sports. He acts like his strict guardian, his parent, and even his mentor. Meanwhile, Nine is protective of Six and is willing to do anything that he's told—until he realizes how much pain it brought him to do so. Upon their truce with the Clowns, the twins began to reflect on themselves and sought for an independent life. When they decided to separate to find their true selves, they became more human. Despite how different they truly are and how their interests contrast each other, the two love each other unconditionally and approve and support their decisions.

Ellaris

The twins remind Ella of Loki and Kiel, but a toned-down version of them. She sometimes makes paper puppets resembling them, which they like and accept. As Nine enjoys receiving paper gifts from Ella like a kid receiving gifts from a parent, Six doesn’t seem to acknowledge Ella as much as the other characters, often finding her to be forgettable and bland. However, he finds it enjoyable to collect and decorate Ella’s paper gifts for him whenever he has spare time, showing his hidden appreciation towards her.
